Tea Parties and Texas Secession

I have not read or heard a whole lot on the April 15th Tea Parties across the nation but I sure think it’s a good start.  I did catch some talk radio chatter about the media’s treatment of these events and their attempts to downplay and belittle the movement.  Not at all surprised of course.  I sincerely hope that the MSM works itself completely out of a job.  The news papers are on their way out, for sure.

I also like the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, and his talk of leaving the federal government if they don’t straighten up and figure out who they work for.  It’s time some government officials started to grow “a pair” and leave it to Texans to start the rally.

“I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union,” the governor said. “I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state.”

I could live in Texas.
